Photoshop Glow Text Styles: Adding Starlight to Your Typography

In this tutorial, we'll explore how to add a touch of starlight to your typography using Adobe Photoshop CS6. With the Eraser Tool and Brush panel, you can create stunning stars with different sizes and angles.

First, open a new document in Photoshop by going to File > New > Document and setting it to 500 x 300 pixels with the default settings. Fill the background with the color #1a142c.

Next, create a new layer and name it 'Stars'. Then, select the Brush Tool and choose the '5' star brush from your brush pack. You can place these stars on top of or below each other as you like.

To add more texture to your design, right-click on the second letter's text layer and choose Paste Layer Style. This will apply the same layer style to the new text layer. Repeat this process for each subsequent letter.

Now, let's create a drop shadow effect by going to Layer > New Fill Layer > Drop Shadow. Set the Opacity to 60%, uncheck the Use Global Light box, and change the Angle to 144.

Next, add an outer glow effect by going to Layer > New Fill Layer > Outer Glow. Set the Opacity to 70%, the color to #ae93fe, and the Size to 3.

Finally, apply a gradient overlay effect by going to Layer > New Fill Layer > Gradient Overlay. Click on the Gradient box to create a gradient with two colors: #8061da to the left and #ffffff to the right.

To complete your design, add a stroke effect by going to Layer > New Fill Layer > Stroke. Set the Size to 1, the Position to Inside, and the Color to White.
